HCS SJR 24 -- TERM LIMITS
The state constitution limits the number of years a person can
serve in the House or Senate to eight years in each house.
This proposed constitutional amendment excludes from counting
toward those years any service to fill out the unexpired term of
another person that is less than one year in the House and less
than two years in the Senate. This change would not apply to any
current members.
